Atlantis Hotels
How Atlantis Dubai achieved 100% seafood traceability and set a new standard for sustainable hospitality with SFS Audit
50% mislabelling rectified
Documentation audited and validated to ensure full supply chain transparency.
100% traceability
Achieved across 2,500 seafood SKUs, including feed for marine life
The Challenge
Atlantis Dubai, home to more than 65,000 marine animals, set an ambitious goal: achieve full traceability across all seafood purchases. But their global supply network and fragmented seafood data made transparency a serious challenge:
- Global, complex sourcing
Seafood came from dozens of suppliers, making it difficult to verify product origins and fishing practices. - Inconsistent documentation
Missing or inconsistent supply chain data limited visibility into sustainability risks like mislabelling or overfishing. - Rising sustainability expectations
Guests, regulators, and internal sustainability programmes demanded full accountability across sourcing operations.

Our Solution
Seafood Souq partnered with Atlantis Dubai to deploy a full traceability and compliance framework powered by SFS Trace:
- SFS Trace Dashboard
Delivered live traceability scores, conservation status tracking, and supply chain transparency at SKU level. - Supplier Digitisation
Mapped every seafood product back to its verified origin, method of catch/farming, and certifications. - Ongoing Audit and Reporting
Introduced quarterly data validations, continuous monitoring, and rapid access to compliance-ready reports.
All tools were fully embedded into Atlantis Dubai’s procurement, culinary, and sustainability teams—ensuring traceability wasn’t a side task, but part of daily operations.
The Results
- 60% increase in seafood traceability within 10 months
- 100% traceability achieved across more than 2,500 SKUs
- Extended traceability practices to fish feed for marine life care
- Strengthened Atlantis Dubai’s leadership in sustainability under the Atlantis Atlas Project
Atlantis Dubai’s traceability journey proves that operational excellence and ocean conservation can go hand-in-hand. By partnering technology with purpose, they’ve built a model for the future of responsible tourism.
